Toasted London Plane spoon from Ridgewood, Queens.

$50.00

Carved from a tree the city cut down in Ridgewood. London Plane is a tough and durable hardwood with a distinctive, mottled appearance. Its close grain and strength make it suitable for spoon and other heavy-duty uses like tool handles. The wood ranges in color from pale yellow to light brown, often featuring darker flecks and medullary rays that add to its character.

This spoon is toasted in the oven at 250 degrees for 30 minutes to give it a darked color.

Walnut Oil and Beeswax Finish, Food Safe.
